Prenatal Partner Yoga Workshop with Angela Jackson Sun, Apr 9, 2017 at 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm

 
This workshop focuses on sharing the experience of pregnancy with your partner through a gentle physical yoga practice as well as providing tools you can use together during labour. We will use postures, massage and breathing techniques to address pregnancy discomforts and allow both of you to share in the birthing experience.
  • Together you will examine any fears or doubts you have towards childbirth and learn to use the breath to have a joyful experience.
  • You will discover ways you both can connect with baby and each other in a loving way.
  • Meet other couples going through similar life experiences.
  • Ask questions about what to expect during the birthing process and postpartum.

Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training

This comprehensive Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training will include how to teach pre-natal and post-natal yoga to women in all stages of pregnancy. This training program will address the physiological, emotional and energetic aspects of pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood.

You Will:

  • Explore poses (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama) for maximum safety and that are beneficial for pregnancy
  • Learn basic anatomy and the stages of pregnancy (including physical and hormonal changes)

    The Chakra system in yoga, meditation and Ayurveda refers to energy centers or energy wheels in the body. The Chakras correspond to nerve plexus' in the body, which are bundles of nerves. They are also associated with the health of the major organs, pyschological well being and spiritual connection. Chakras can be over or underactive, closed or open and an imbalance in even one of our chakras can greatly impact our physical, emotional or spiritual health. Mieka will dive deep into the 7 chakras through education, meditation and physical practice creating a deeper understanding and awareness.

    Day 1: Morning Session
